W00t! SNES emulator works. And a ROM for Chrono Trigger. Guess what I'll be replaying for the next few days? ^______^ FF7 what?

And my attempt to not make this into a one-liner. I got my scanner to work about a month ago, so the first thing I did was to scan in one of my djs. So this is for all the PoT fans that may still be left on the flist (and Niou/Marui fans *prods luminata*). Was planning to scan in more, but it's a really old scanner, and the lines aren't as sharp as I would have wanted, so I'll likely not be scanning things in much until I get a new scanner.

Edit: This is a bit taxing. The last time I tried using an emulator was to play Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced for the GBA. I never finished it as playing with the keyboard cramped my fingers. Right now, I can't even figure out what keys I use to play. The key combination editor is a completely foreign thing to me. ;_;

Edit 2: Was randomly skimming through a game forum and it seems the release of Advent Children have made a few people not care at all about the upcoming FFXII game. I think this is sad. Am I the only one marginally looking forward to FF12? It's the only FF game I've looked forward to ever since the muchly disappointing FF8 release. It takes place in Ivalice. I will give it a chance if only for that one little fact alone. Final Fantasy Tactics remains to be my favorite of all the FF games. Nevermind that I don't know whether they intend for it to be the same Ivalice that FFT took place in or if they're making it a completely different universe with just the same name (I don't follow news on it, so I'm ignorant about these things). If it's the same though... Aaah! To see references to FFT. ♥ *gibbles*

Edit 3: Only found out from selfaro a few days ago that Radiata Stories is out. *_* Game shopping this weekend. Yet another title to add to my growing list of games to play. Was hoping to finish a bunch of them before the next slew of new releases came out (of games I'm actually interested in).

Edit 4: And this is why PC gaming isn't for me. >.> 5 minutes in and my left hand is whining at me already. Been so long since I played anything on my PC I'm not used to it anymore.

Request: This is probably a long shot, but would anyone happen to have an album of Der Ring des Nibelungen by Richard Wagner? Any version release would be alright, as long as it contains the complete ring cycles (Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung). It is extremely long, so if by chance anyone does have it, I'd be willing to trade you for anything you might want (that I have).

PS. Semagic has a new release now allowing the use of LJ tags on the client. Yey!

I promised Tia I'd make a gif out of the TezuRyo scene on the new PoT opening, but the gif was about 4mb so I made a clip of it instead, which is a mere 2mb in comparison.

I also extracted a clip from the Tezuka, Atobe and Ryoma radio drama that has Tezuka and Ryoma well... discussing something while so obviously on crack. Yea. :P

Tokyopop has announced their newest manga acquisitions. Get Backers and Furuba has been licensed, but look look, they licensed B't X! *squee* I don't care what people say about Tokyopop's translations (as it happens, the quality of their translations seem to vary from title to title), but anyone who licenses B't X gets on my 'to like' list.^^

Anime license update (announced at AX):
Bandai Entertainment officially announces the following, it's old licensing news however. - Wolf's Rain, .hack/Udeden, Dragon Drive, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Stratos 4, Tenshi no Shippo.

ADV didn't seem to have as much new titles as Bandai. That or I found more of Bandai's titles to be of note. - DN Angel, RahXephon movie

caillen just got me into Furuba. Goddamnit. All she had to do was wave Shishou/Kyou under my nose, tell me Shishou took care of Kyou while growing up and wham! Hello Furuba. And now she's gotten me into reading Haru/Kyou. And obviously, Haru/Kyou is another one of those pairs where I can stand a little bit of mush.

So anyway, I want Shishou/Kyou and Haru/Kyou fics. Someone rec me some fics! Please?

Edit: Why are there so many Yuki/Kyou fics. I don't like Yuki. I don't like Yuki with Kyou. There's no Haru/Kyou fics to be had. *whimpers* *kills athene* This is all your fault.

Notes: Written for the temps_mort complimentary colors challenge and done in 80 minutes. Could have used the excess 10 minutes to improve on it, but I just drew a blank by the time I got to the end. The fic stems from the same idea that Solstice came from, but just as I had to alter Solstice to fit it into the 30 minute constraint, I had to alter the idea for this somewhat. The two fics aren't connected at all.

There was an LJ friends list drama? AGAIN? Woohoo. Who would have thought, huh? You'd think people would have gotten tired of that by the gazillionth time. But you see, you're mistaken if you think this socio-political drama exists only in LJ culture. Can you count how many like-minded threads have started on weblogs re: linking and linking people back? I don't like you anymore, I will take your blog off my links page! was just as common as You're no longer my friend! I will defriend you and then say bad things about you behind my LJ friends lock where you can't read it! Ho-hum.

Fandoms over sensitized idiosyncrasies forces everyone into a lose-lose situation, unless of course you don't actually give a rats ass what everyone else thinks. That way you're then labeled as an arrogant self-centered wench who thinks she's too good for everyone else when really she's just as much of a loser as the rest of the flock. In which case, you still lose.

I don't know how people can write drabbles in 30 minutes or less, I swear to god. -_- This one took me 35 minutes, I went five minutes over the allotted time. Go me. It sucks too because of it. I spent the entire time panicking over my time limit. I swore I would post this as is though and not edit (if I'd finished it a bit faster I would have had time to edit). And not delete it. So. This is unedited, and written almost in a blind rush of panic. It's also really rather bad. I realize the summer solstice would barely have been celebrated that way, but bite me. :/ This was much longer in my head, but I couldn't write the original idea down with the time limit.

So I've never been in the habit of posting just to rec something. But you all have to read Transfigurations by resonant8, because it is the best HP fanfic ever (or the best H/D fanfic ever depending on how you look at it).

The fic is Harry/Draco, but goddamn the story, the plot, the way she tells it. *wibbles* The H/D is only an added bonus. Damn it, if you're still here listening to me blabber go read it now! Or bookmark it so you can read it later. Because it's long but so worth reading. So go read! *cracks whip*

Somebody on the Naruto Yaoi list brought up the suggestion for a Naruto FQF. o_O caillen says I'm a masochist, but if it pulls through, then I'm all for it!

Naruto 25 is out, but as seems to be the problem everytime ANBU releases a Naruto episode, the BT sites have crashed from the overload. You'll have better luck getting it in a few hours or in the IRC channel.

Also, news courtesy of Jeanne Johnson, no Saiyuki Gaiden in the next ZS issue either, and no news explaining the delay nor any announcements for when to expect it. Minekura picks the best chapters to take a long break from writing Gaiden, say I. I bet she does this on purpose.

I realize my blog posts have been exceptionally boring as of late. I'm sorry, I really don't know how to make it up to you, because I excel at the exceptionally boring and short, random, pointless posts.
