NaNoWriMo? What's that? >.>
I really want to be able to write something for this, I do. Even if I don't reach the 50,000 word count by the deadline. But when I'm not working, my brain just fizzles and dies. It thinks, "hooboy, no work! restrestsleeeeep!" and any thought of writing flies out the window. Boo.
That aside, I miss
Juuni Kokki and
Last Exile. I miss having a series to watch which I could actually look forward to every week (or every time the subs got released in JK's case). Where each episode gets a great enough reaction from me to actually
make me post about it (because let's face it, I'm lazy, I hate posting about anime eps in general since it takes time) even if it's a one-liner that says, "OMG. DIIOOO!! I LOVE YOU!" (I don't think I ever did that, but I must have come pretty close. ^_^) If something can make me one-line (which I absolutely hate doing), then it means something, and while I'm sure people who read my LJ are relieved I no longer do so, I miss it! Not the one-lining, just the feeling of watching a series that leaves you thinking, 'well shit' and 'this series owns me' by the end of each episode.
I love
Fullmetal Alchemist of course. It's the only series that came out this season which I'm still following (will catch up to the rest when I have more time), but it's not quite the same. At least I know FMA won't depress me as much as LE did. ... It had better not!
Other than that, excuse me while I kill both
timgeo and
koutenken. You see, Yachiyo has been utterly impossible as of late. You know, the kind where you're going, "waah! shaddupshaddup you're so not pimping this to meee~~!" although she really wasn't. She's just been talking about
TokiMemo GS a LOT as of late, and we all know that's the best kind of sl0ring you can ever do.
To know more about this game and the reason why I would ever want to play it,
refer to this post where Yachiyo talks about the characters and lists their seiyuu. Yea, you thought so? What else could it be after all. It has a slew of popular seiyuu, but most importantly, it has
Okiayu,
Ishida,
Shin'ichirou,
Kappei (he's really grown on me since he voiced Enki),
Morikubo, and *dies*
Hayami Sho whom I've missed so soooo much! (He hasn't shown up in any of the series' I've been following as of late.)
But you see, this is a date simulation game, which I don't actually have a problem with playing, except that it's in Japanese, and after the greatbigohpleasepleasecanikillmyself?! experience of playing FF8 in Japanese, I never ever want to go through that again. (So a date simulation game is very different from an RPG, but it's
still in Japanese.) So despite
timgeo's enthusiastic
slobbering fangirling over said game, I wasn't really paying that much attention, since I knew I'd never get around to playing it.
And then
koutenken (yes, she figures into this, she does!)
gives in to Yachiyo's sl0ring here. And
of course, after
Angelique and
Harukanaru, you'd think I'd have learned by now and come to expect it. But no, I can remain blissfully ignorant when my wallet calls for it, until
someone points it out and then DOOM. In this case, the
TokiMeki CDs. Add that to
koutenken's fangirling over Okiayu's Kansaiben and well... DOOMDOOMDOOM!
I have very legit reasons for plotting their untimely deaths.
