my lj lives!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=4XPNdyvQ0ew&search=Gintama

Commercial for the Ginatama anime. Now see, since I've disappeared under a huge prehistoric rock, I hadn't known any of the seiyuu for the anime until now. Tomokazu Sugito as Gintoki. ;__________; Just no. He has a constant knack of sounding like Koyasu to my now untrained seiyuu ear, and this is not a good thing.

Though, hehehehehe. Kazuya Nakai as Hijikata? Now I'll never be able to take Hijikita seriously at all (not that there's anything about this series to be taken seriously in the first place). But you know how with certain seiyuu there's always going to be one role that you will always think about when you hear them? Unsurprisingly, Nakai's would be Zoro, followed by Masamune in Sengoku Basara if only because he completely rocked as Masamune. ♥

And you remember how I don't like Ishida Akira and his knack of voicing characters I equally do not like? Well, Gaara was one of the very few exceptions. Katsura can be another.

And hello to everyone. I thought I'd finally post before I let another month pass without me posting anything up on lj.

ES21 anime seiyuu

[Latest ad] for the Eyeshield 21 anime has announced Miyu Irino as Kobayakawa Sena and Aya Hirano for Anezaki Mamori, both of which are different from their seiyuu in the ES21 Jump Festa movie. Which means no Paku Romi (Sena), and which probably means no Miki Shinichirou as Hiruma either. :( I'm mildly disappointed. I'm not a big Shinichirou fan, but I liked his Hiruma. Though I think it may have been more of my love for Hiruma than anything else.

I'd actually love to see lesser known seiyuu take part in the ES21 anime. I'm strange that way, and sometimes I tire of hearing some of my favorite seiyuu in all the shows I watch. I'm not as disappointed with Paku Romi no longer voicing Sena as I probably should be, because as much as I did like her Sena, she's got enough shows currently running that can fill my Paku-obsession for a while.

Other than that, have slowly started to catch up with my manga reading again (I've only been reading Naruto for the longest time - and BL titles all of last month.), and of course ES21 was first on my list. I was just laughing the entire night while I was reading it. I still adore Hiruma, and I'm reminded once again why I love this series a lot. Anything that can make me laugh that much is well deserving of the love. ♥

100 Questions for the Seiyuu Fan

THERE ARE REASONS WHY BUCKY OWNZ ME. That being a prime example of it. XD XD And if you don't get some of the jokes, someone explains it down in the comments. I love how Satchel is so annoyed. Satchel is never annoyed. *snuggles teh Bucky* I mean, he's just tailing after Satchel and deliberately gauding him. I LOVE THIS CAT. ♥~

That said the 100 Questions for the Seiyuu Fan ganked from [info]soubiless.

Let's see. *starts pointing fingers* I want to see [info]luminata, [info]fushigitenshi, [info]aerie and [info]nagibook do this one. ;P Because I know you're seiyuu whores, but you hardly talk about it. *killed*

Look at what took up my evening. )

nanowrimo and TokiMemo GS~~ must. resist!

NaNoWriMo? What's that? >.>

I really want to be able to write something for this, I do. Even if I don't reach the 50,000 word count by the deadline. But when I'm not working, my brain just fizzles and dies. It thinks, "hooboy, no work! restrestsleeeeep!" and any thought of writing flies out the window. Boo.

That aside, I miss Juuni Kokki and Last Exile. I miss having a series to watch which I could actually look forward to every week (or every time the subs got released in JK's case). Where each episode gets a great enough reaction from me to actually make me post about it (because let's face it, I'm lazy, I hate posting about anime eps in general since it takes time) even if it's a one-liner that says, "OMG. DIIOOO!! I LOVE YOU!" (I don't think I ever did that, but I must have come pretty close. ^_^) If something can make me one-line (which I absolutely hate doing), then it means something, and while I'm sure people who read my LJ are relieved I no longer do so, I miss it! Not the one-lining, just the feeling of watching a series that leaves you thinking, 'well shit' and 'this series owns me' by the end of each episode.

I love Fullmetal Alchemist of course. It's the only series that came out this season which I'm still following (will catch up to the rest when I have more time), but it's not quite the same. At least I know FMA won't depress me as much as LE did. ... It had better not!

Other than that, excuse me while I kill both [info]yachinami and [info]koutenken. You see, Yachiyo has been utterly impossible as of late. You know, the kind where you're going, "waah! shaddupshaddup you're so not pimping this to meee~~!" although she really wasn't. She's just been talking about TokiMemo GS a LOT as of late, and we all know that's the best kind of sl0ring you can ever do.

To know more about this game and the reason why I would ever want to play it, refer to this post where Yachiyo talks about the characters and lists their seiyuu. Yea, you thought so? What else could it be after all. It has a slew of popular seiyuu, but most importantly, it has Okiayu, Ishida, Shin'ichirou, Kappei (he's really grown on me since he voiced Enki), Morikubo, and *dies* Hayami Sho whom I've missed so soooo much! (He hasn't shown up in any of the series' I've been following as of late.)

But you see, this is a date simulation game, which I don't actually have a problem with playing, except that it's in Japanese, and after the greatbigohpleasepleasecanikillmyself?! experience of playing FF8 in Japanese, I never ever want to go through that again. (So a date simulation game is very different from an RPG, but it's still in Japanese.) So despite [info]yachinami's enthusiastic slobbering fangirling over said game, I wasn't really paying that much attention, since I knew I'd never get around to playing it.

And then [info]koutenken (yes, she figures into this, she does!) gives in to Yachiyo's sl0ring here. And of course, after Angelique and Harukanaru, you'd think I'd have learned by now and come to expect it. But no, I can remain blissfully ignorant when my wallet calls for it, until someone points it out and then DOOM. In this case, the TokiMeki CDs. Add that to [info]koutenken's fangirling over Okiayu's Kansaiben and well... DOOMDOOMDOOM!

I have very legit reasons for plotting their untimely deaths.

yey for wacky character roles!

I take back everything I've ever said about Takehito Koyasu and his boring roles. He has done a few noteworthy roles, like Aburatsubo (Mahou Tsukai Tai), Hanagata (Saber Marionette), Sakano (Gravitation) and Ranma (Cinderella Boy), but seriously, I think his role in Papuwa just beats it all.

Quoting [info]touma_karamochi on this: Takehito Koyasu has a role in Papuwa- he's a man-size poisonous mushroom with a very mellow voice and he keeps trying to have people, namely Rotarou(that's his 'name') cook and eat him.

*dies*

Well maybe not, his role as Hanagata just takes the cake.

yet another question

Grr. I accidentally mislabeled a few of my mp3s, and since I no longer remember, can anyone tell me the seiyuu for the following: Fuji Yuuta, Kisarazu Atsushi and Yanagisawa Shinya. Thanks!

Last Exile OST 2. *loves*

I've started replying to ML mail again. Somewhere, I know the clarions of doom are blowing.

Tantei Gakuen Q 7 has Ishida Akira and Okiayu Ryoutarou in it. Also, it took a glance at the cast list for me to realize that Kyu is being voiced by Ogata Megumi. o_O Now there's a seiyuu I haven't seen much of lately. The last series I watched where she had a part in was Samurai Deeper Kyo where she voiced Yukimura. I love her Yukimura. I loved Yukimura. Even if I didn't like the series. XD

I want more Narutaru. And Tantei Gakuen Q (especially since episode 8 ended at a cliffhanger). And Juuni Kokki. And Last Exile. Now you know the top four series' I'm currently following (not in that order of course) and I'm being very impatient because I want to watch something but don't really want to watch anything else but the aforementioned. And Konjiki no Gash probably. Yea, I think I'll go watch that. *leaves timeline lying in the mud*

BTW, I've seen a few people mention Ikkitousen. How is it? Good? Bad? Watch it for the amusement factor? I'm curious, because I've been tempted to get it since Morikubo Shoutarou voices one of the characters.

..... I really do not like the Furuba manga. It's boring. It's annoying. It's a series which never caught my interest and which I would have been glad to continue ignoring if it hadn't been for a certain someone dangling Kazuma/Kyou in my face. I blame her entirely for why I'm even running a Furuba RPG. -_- I personally don't mind the RPG. Kyou is a lot of fun to play and he's never boring and I can at least choose to not make him angst as much as he does in the series. Except I have to read through the manga because I'm plot mod and I'm making the timeline and ohgodsometimesijustwanttothrowitoutthewindow! X(

Anyway, that little rant aside. Timeline nowhere near being done. Go me. Co-mod will absolutely skin me alive. I do swear to get this done while I still have free time left.

Sheila said she was getting tired of staring at all the green on my blog, and apparently, somewhere along the line while I wasn't looking, it turns out that I now live to please her. So new color theme and a new Lavi default icon to match. Hopefully, the demanding little wench hates yellow.

Somebody tell me that I'm not the only one who likes Tachibana's image song. I mean... really, it's got a pretty nice beat to it. XD I like all the Fudomine songs. Hyotei would have gotten my vote as best image songs if it weren't for Oshitari's song and Ootori and Shishido's duet. ;_;

By and by, can anyone tell me who sang as chibi!Syuusuke and chibi!Yuuta in Sempre com irmao? And yes, no matter what the rest of you say, *mock glare*, I still think it's a horribly cute song. So there.

I keep thinking how loud my newest desktop wallpaper is everytime I see it, which it really isn't to be honest. If you compare my old wallpaper (Hyotei) and the new one though (Last Exile), you'll know why. XD

*g* The Hyotei desktop looks so sterile in comparison. I love it because of Jirou though, I'll probably put it back up in a few weeks. Fanart used was taken from acre, the Last Exile wallpaper taken from the official site.

it's the seiyuu's fault. there's nothing wrong with me. really.

Listening to a BL drama with Yamaguchi Kappei and Koyasu Takehito brings Keiki x Enki to mind. And it also has Ishida Akira. *eyes Kouya (Shinkun) warily*

Kill me now.

my playlist is getting old

Alright, I finally got around to replying to everyone (email and LJ comments alike). So in case you've emailed me recently or posted a comment that requires a reply and I haven't, it means I don't have it on my inbox and have no way of replying to it. I know I lost a few emails that needed replying with the reformat, so if I haven't replied to you by now, it means I've lost it so could you please email me again?

I know a handful of people on my friends list like Banana Fish, so for those of you who might be interested, [info]ash_lynx is a new community for series discussion.

Koyasu Takehito will be voicing the main character for Cinderella Boy. I've no idea what the series will be about, but the main character looks wacky, so I'm looking forward to hearing Koyasu voice him. XD

Matantei Loki seiyuu

ungh. I'm not getting anything done here. I sure picked a wonderful time to get a new obsession. Why are there no Matantei Loki english sites? I'd have mind enough to create one, but I'm not so stupid as to plunge myself head on into a web project I've no chances of finishing. And those who dare snicker at this will feel my wrath.

But since I'm posting anyway (uh-huh). Here's a list of the Matantei Loki Ragnarok seiyuu. I included the cast list in Japanese because I wasn't sure if I read some of the character names right, and Japanese dictionaries weren't being much help. So someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Loki - Fuchizaki Yuriko (Souma Hiro, Furuba; Anthy, Utena)
Mayura Daidoji - Yui Horie (Takeuchi Rio, Spiral; Yuya, SDK; Honda Tohru, Furuba)
Ryusuke Yamino - Miki Shinichiro
Narugami - Shotaro Morikubo (Ginji Amano, Get Backers)
Heimdall - Paku Romi (Tao Ren, Shaman King)
Freyr - Koyasu Takehito

ロキ/渕崎ゆり子
大堂寺繭良/堀江由衣
闇野竜介/三木眞一郎
鳴神/森久保祥太郎
ヘイムダル/朴路(※)美
フレイ/子安武人

* Shinichiro Miki also sings the ending theme, fyi.

Have I said anything about how much I love Loki's voice? He sounds so much unlike a young boy, but at the same time does. *cheekpinches him* He sounds like a grown up little boy. (I should probably stop now, huh?)

my inner kink celebrates

Some more drabble recs that you should read. Two more.

---

The TW forums are good for something I tell you. Nevermind the annoying lot of them, but you can get good information from them without having to search for it. Krad's seiyuu is Kusao Takeshi (Hanamachi, Slam Dunk; Darkness, Shadow Skill; Saionji, Utena; Kougaiji, Saiyuki) they say. I am completely boggled by this.

Alright then, some darling, equally perverted person created the [info]yaoicest community for, you guessed it, m/m incest pairings! w00t! Goodbye all. I shall make a new home there, where my perversions won't ick certain beings whom I've been trying to get into m/m incest since forever. Come one, come all. We all know you're a kinky bastard at heart.
