Interludium

Hello insomnia. Welcome back old friend.  I will now attempt to survive the day whilst completely braindead.  I owe people email/lj replies, have been rather occupied all weekend, but will attempt to reply to a few during random bouts of lucidity throughout the day.

For now, image heavy post since it requires minimal brainpower.


I normally don't do this, but I just had to take a pic of this particular stack of doujinshi. Henceforth to be remembered as the package where the Philippine Post Office TAXED ME WAY TOO MUCH for some porn. I've never been taxed for my manga or doujinshi before, so I was pretty much DDD: at them when I picked this up.

Most of it is Initial D doujinshi (Ryousuke/Keisuke ).  I reallyreally wanted to splurge on Gintama and Reborn djs at the time, but there was a reason I got the IniD ones instead. D:  I got the Acchicchi (Kanegae Shouko) collection mostly because I had never heard of the circle before and was curious to see if it would be worth getting her individual djs in the future. I probably won't because she mostly does Reborn/Lambo, but the anthology was a pleasant surprise and had me laughing a lot while flipping through it.  There were a lot of completely random CPs which alone made it well worth it.  I would not mind buying another anthology of her stuff if she ever releases another one.

Anyway, wanted to share a few of the more random gag stuff in the anthology.  Subpar pics behind the cut.  My scanner is currently still in its box, so I just took pics of a few random scenes.  Will get around to scanning some of the more amusing stories once I hook the scanner up. Still waiting for Em to read Reborn so I can force make slavedrive ask her to translate these.

W00t! SNES emulator works. And a ROM for Chrono Trigger. Guess what I'll be replaying for the next few days? ^______^ FF7 what?

And my attempt to not make this into a one-liner. I got my scanner to work about a month ago, so the first thing I did was to scan in one of my djs. So this is for all the PoT fans that may still be left on the flist (and Niou/Marui fans *prods luminata*). Was planning to scan in more, but it's a really old scanner, and the lines aren't as sharp as I would have wanted, so I'll likely not be scanning things in much until I get a new scanner.

Edit: This is a bit taxing. The last time I tried using an emulator was to play Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced for the GBA. I never finished it as playing with the keyboard cramped my fingers. Right now, I can't even figure out what keys I use to play. The key combination editor is a completely foreign thing to me. ;_;

Edit 2: Was randomly skimming through a game forum and it seems the release of Advent Children have made a few people not care at all about the upcoming FFXII game. I think this is sad. Am I the only one marginally looking forward to FF12? It's the only FF game I've looked forward to ever since the muchly disappointing FF8 release. It takes place in Ivalice. I will give it a chance if only for that one little fact alone. Final Fantasy Tactics remains to be my favorite of all the FF games. Nevermind that I don't know whether they intend for it to be the same Ivalice that FFT took place in or if they're making it a completely different universe with just the same name (I don't follow news on it, so I'm ignorant about these things). If it's the same though... Aaah! To see references to FFT. ♥ *gibbles*

Edit 3: Only found out from selfaro a few days ago that Radiata Stories is out. *_* Game shopping this weekend. Yet another title to add to my growing list of games to play. Was hoping to finish a bunch of them before the next slew of new releases came out (of games I'm actually interested in).

Edit 4: And this is why PC gaming isn't for me. >.> 5 minutes in and my left hand is whining at me already. Been so long since I played anything on my PC I'm not used to it anymore.

Request: This is probably a long shot, but would anyone happen to have an album of Der Ring des Nibelungen by Richard Wagner? Any version release would be alright, as long as it contains the complete ring cycles (Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung). It is extremely long, so if by chance anyone does have it, I'd be willing to trade you for anything you might want (that I have).

AND ONE IS BY THAT FANART SITE I RECCED AND GIBBLED OVER YEARS AGO OMG luminata I KILLZ J00!! (for no other reason other than you're the only other person I know who likes Niou/Marui and I WOE. BECAUSE OF COURSE I BOUGHT IT WHEN I SHOULDN'T HAVE.)

Gaaah. I still need to pick up my last doujinshi order. It's been at the post office since forever. ;_; I have a tendency to always wait until the last notice arrives on my doorstep before I even remember that I have a package to pick up, and then I get panicky because of course I don't have time and oh no what if I don't have time before they get rid of it! WOE. My RyoZuka and ShinSaku raburabu~! (Yes, that's RyoZuka. I think there was only one ZukaRyo in that batch.)

PS. Semagic has a new release now allowing the use of LJ tags on the client. Yey!

But first things first, our dog [bit me]. I took a pic of my arm/hand cause Athene wanted to see it. It's not a very pretty sight, so don't click if you get squicked easily. It's really affecting my left hand though, hurts like a bitch if I move it (and of course here I am still typing). My mom was worried that it had hit a nerve cause my hand was shaking so bad right after, but I can still move it, just can't clench my fists fully. Bah. How'd I get bitten? I gave him a bone, checked on his water then decided to pet him. Yea yea, don't pet a dog while they're eating if they're not used to it.

And now, dj pics by Aogiri Mikoto [E-PLUS]. I remember loving this djka's art back when auction.yahoo.co.jp and I were still the best of friends. ;D That was a long time ago and she wasn't doing TeniPuri yet at the time, but well, her Fuji is fabulous. *_* Nevermind that she does Fuji/Kikumaru, but she does seme!Fuji really well and so prettily. <3 At least from the [sample scans] on the site. I gave the links to caillen and she ended up buying 4 djs. ;P I'm demanding scans. She also did a Niou/Marui dj which is NOT available. *weepweep* (Though I really should be thankful, cause I would have bought that in a heartbeat.)

In other less interesting news, I went and decided to play around with fserve features in IRC, which only means another way for me to share files with people other than the normal 'upload to my server give people links' method. It's a little less gratifying in the sense that well, the people getting from you are complete strangers and you don't get the chance to cackle gleefully when they say they hate you for pimping something new to them. >D

The fserve's only been up for a week give or take, decided to make new releases available through XDCC/TDCC the whole day yesterday/today and I can honestly tell you that it really isn't any fun when people keep hammering your triggers. It's insane. My flood protection was banning people left and right every few minutes (it unbans after 30 seconds, it just keeps me from getting flooded). I'd probably have gotten d/ced due to excess flood a great number of times if not for it. So you know, to those people who download in IRC and have never tried running an fserve before, people who run fserves and who can be complete asses about not hammering their triggers and/or meeting minimum CPS are asses for a reason.

Since it seems to be the only series I'm bothering to watch at the moment. That and Saiyuki Reload. I really want to take screencaps of this episode, but I find that I'm much too lazy at the moment to do so.

Has anyone else seen it? Damn but I love that part with Ed and Al sparring. <3


PS. OMG. Help me. I'm starting to like Zoro/Luffy. *gets killed by Kenji* Nuuuuuu!!!! I don't even like One Piece yaoi. I hate it. waaah!
