I swear I will delete this and write a proper post when I can talk about the latest Naruto chapters without the urge to fangirl every five seconds.

And I realize the only times I've bothered to write a Naruto post was to wibble over Gaara. I am hopeless that way. And Neji. And Shikamaru. Temari/Shikamaru OTP~!

I have no Gaara icon. Someone remedy this. :(

Nearly 12 hours straight (I slept for 3 hours between) during my first time playing the CoM MUD game. Am playing an Elysiriyun enchanter. I wanted a battlemage, but the Elysiriyu apparently cannot become battlemages. Anyhow, my character is still meandering around inside the academy until I reach level 6. 12 hours of playing and I'm only on level 3. XD Managed to get a decent amount of money at least. Enough so I can try to go fishing and then maybe try if the tavern will let me take a gander at bartending (there's a bartending skill. How cool is that?).

So anyway, the amount of silver I had got too heavy for me to carry anything else so I needed to go to a bank and deposit them, but there's no bank in the acad. Mich tells me to go to the city of Lords in Alandis. So I go to the docks, but the first boat I see heads to the West of Alandis, I had no idea what this meant, but took the boat I did.

Now what they don't actually tell you about the West boat, is that it drops you in the middle of fucking nowhere. Literally. So I find myself on the West Road. I head east... and east... and east... and east. It goes on forever. It rained on me twice. My enchanter had to go sleep on the road because he got so exhausted (I used up my moves) so he had to rest. Sometimes the road branches off to the south or north into the forest. I tried this a few times, but when even a porcupine can kick your sorry dainty elysiriyun ass, then you know to stick to the road until you catch sight of a city.

Finally, finally I catch sight of a city. Lords? Hell no! I somehow ended up aaall the way in Seria while looking for Lords. It's a bigger city than Lords though, so it was bound to have a bank. So I headed towards Seria. And promptly get lost once I got inside the city walls.

Fret fret. How to find a bank in a city? Simple. You go wandering around and hope you get lucky. So wander around I did. Made it all the way to the town center, where I overhear two other players talking. One of them glances in my direction, I think about asking them where the bank is, but think better off it and exit east. I wander around some more, until OMG I FIND A MAP SHOP! *LUFF!* So I enter and buy a map of Seria. When I look in my inventory I find that I now have two maps. Why? Seria, by and by, happens to be my character's hometown. And of course I remember all too late that since he's from Seria, he already had a map of the city from the very beginning. -_-

So I look at the map. Seeing as this is a MUD game and everything is played in text, the map of course is in ASCII. It confuses the hell out of me. At around this time, Mich comes back on in AIM and asks me where I am (I'd previously messaged her saying I was lost). I told her I was in Seria. She was like, "I'm in the middle of an RP at the center of the city, so I can't go there," and I'm like, "That was you?!" So apparently, her warrior was one of the two people I saw talking in the center of town and ignored. XD

Now Kenken has a high level enchanter who can use portals, so Mich asks him to make her look for my character. So my character is standing in the middle of the map store still trying to make ends meet of the map when a much too cheerful Hylsiriyun enchantress gates in. Since it's a rule in the game that no matter if the players know each other IRL, you can't just assume that your characters know each other, we make small talk, introductions are exchanged, before Kenken's enchantress proceeds to practically lead mine by the hand across the streets and to the bank.

I deposit all my silver in the bank (because this means it'll allow me to carry even more when I go back to the acad) only to find out that they charge you tax. *outrage!* Mich proceeds to tell me that some cities charge higher tax than some, Seria's is relatively low, while Lords' is high. I whack her for telling me to go to the Lords bank. Getting lost has its advantages. ;D

From there on I just made my way back through the city, back the way I came and took the ship back to the acad. Then I logged out.

It really sucks when you're behind on a series. You don't get to fangirl with everyone else. I noticed that everyone in my flist (well those that read Naruto anyway), was all squealy happy about this chapter. I was of course avoiding spoilers, and I was not expecting anything like this at all. I can understand what everyone was so happy about.

I LOVE KISHIMOTO MASASHI. He reminds me why, despite everything else, no matter how many series' I get into in between, I will keep coming back to this series. (And with my amazing attention span, loving a series this much for over 3 years is a feat.) It's like coming home really, after being led astray. <3

Naruto. I love this series to bits, and every chapter that comes out just reminds me time and time again why I do. And why I love the characters in it. Each character's strength is so different from each others, and well, I just wanted to say that SHIKAMARU KICKS SO MUCH ASS!!!

I never really comment on Naruto chapters anymore, because mostly my fangirling has been taken away by the PoT manga chapters. And because if I ever talked about Naruto, I wanted it to be more than senseless fangirling, which they would have been. Geez, you would have been littered with "Neji so cooool!" and "Sasuke must die!" and "Shikamaru rabuuuu!" so many times in the past couple of weeks you'd be asking me to shut up. ;P

Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of the Seigaku members know about the Ryoma vs Kirihara match correct?

No other reactions on this chapter. Fandom has made me prickly where it involves the Fuji vs Kirihara match, so I probably won't be commenting throughout the entire S2 match. I'm just sick and tired of reading about people not liking Kirihara. I can understand why, but logic doesn't help me from getting annoyed. I mean, I want to see Fuji kick some Rikkai!ElfBunny butt, but I don't dislike Kirihara, and I actually do like the little imp more than I like Fuji, so yea.

If someone was getting protective because I was hating her bitchsmacking dorky poo Sanada (:P) then I suppose the same can be said with me involving Kirihara. Though I don't really care if people don't like him, I just don't want to know.

Note to self: When people on your flist say SH2, they mean Smash Hit 2 and NOT Silent Hill 2, because you know, SH2 was like, last year's news, two years even. Get it right next time and stop confusing yourself.

But, speaking of Silent Hill, this is pretty much the gaming news that made my month. XD Silent Hill 4 has officially been announced by Konami. ^___^

Alright, this started as a reply to orangesaft's [comment] on [this thread]. And then the things I wanted to say on the subject morphed and just kept on getting longer so I decided to just make it into a post.

It doesn't really have any secrets about the clans as says my subject ;P, I'm just speculating. I've been reading Naruto for a little over two years, I've never reread it again since, so my facts are a little fuzzy. Feel free to correct me on anything.

( Speculations on the sharingan, the byakugan, and what (was) is the Uchiha and the Hyuga clan. )

Just a question, because my memory fails me on this one. Are we given any more information on Kimimaro other than what's shown on this chapter? I seem to recall this was mentioned in passing in one of the earlier chapters, but other than that? Was he from Konoha as well? What happened to him?

I've been slacking on Naruto. >.> Damn you, PoT. Damned Hyotei and Rikkai boys, this is all their fault.

And because I never mentioned it on the LJ, the recently concluded Kidoumaru vs. Neji fight reminds me exactly why it is I was so smitten by Neji in the first place. Lots of love for the boy. He now sits a solid second place behind Shikamaru as favorite Naruto character. (He used to battle second place with Gaara. ^^) I don't even bother to try ranking Naruto, because I just adore the boy no matter what.

I love how the rasengan won top rank on the Jutsu ranking though. And Byakkugan got 6th! Neji placed 6th on the character poll as well, and Hinata a surprising 12th place. I like Hinata, but I'm rather surprised she placed so high on the ranking. Oh, oh! And Shikamaru! 4th place!!! Sasuke won third place from him by a measly 143 votes. =/

....... I don't have a single Naruto icon. So I'm going to use Luffy instead, since One Piece battles Naruto as favorite shounen series at the moment. Yea, doesn't seem like it huh? Since I talk about Prince of Tennis most of the time. Oh well. [Edit:] And FMA! I have lots of love for FMA. I'm not very decisive, am I? heh.

Next time, I will talk about Eyeshield 21, because I want to and I can. And since I've just sl0red caillen into trying it, I might as well try getting other people on the flist to try it too.

Shikamaru is simply NOT slashed you bastards! That's just wrong. With Chouji, or with Neji or with Naruto or with anyone else for that matter. I'm not even too keen on seeing him with Ino, which makes the most sense to me really (yes, yes, I know he said he hated women). But it's not even about making sense, because god forbid that yaoi make sense, but oooh. Leave him aloooonneee!! >.<

That aside, it's about time Chouji got the spotlight for himself! There needs to have been a reason for Shikamaru to believe in Chouji after all (a few chapters back, when Shikamaru first became chuunin), and it's not just blind trust on your teammate. He's simply not the type.

I really want to see more of Neji. Particularly, more of Neji and whatever changes in character that Hiashi's confession may have brought on. Hate that extreme simply isn't healthy you know. Why, look at Sasuke, he's a prime example of that. Chapter 105 is still one of my favorite chapters to date. XD


Is it just me, or did AnimeForever pick up nearly all the new titles out this season?

Violinist of Hameln is currently available in BT for batch downloads. If anyone was planning to download it, don't. Trust me on this. It will save you download time and lots of annoyance. :/ I'd already downloaded upto episode 10, but had to stop watching by the fifth one after going, "Oh look, someone dies AGAIN!" I don't care if Hameln is the typical stoic, tragic anti-hero. I just don't see this series going anywhere that makes it worth watching. (Of course it doesn't help that after deciding I didn't want to watch it I went and read the summary for the last episode, so now I really have no reason for watching the series through.)

The classical music was even a bit amusing to hear, although I never thought to listen to the Nutcracker Suite used to defeat the undead. The Hameln and Raiel reunion almost makes the first few episodes I saw worth watching though. Quit while you're ahead and all. XD


There's going to be a live action Devil May Cry movie with a $40 million budget and a release date planned for 2005. I'm sure I'm not the only one going 'oh no!' How are they planning to come out with someone remotely worthy of playing Dante? Oh wait, there was one. The same actor they used for the Devil May Cry 2 live action commercial, although I highly doubt they'll be using him.

Hey, now all we can look forward to is some gun and sword combo eyecandy, if the movie plot is going to be anything like the game plot. Here's the game that proves you don't need plot to be made into a movie. You just need a kickass sword, a gun and look pretty. :P And even though it may not seem like it, I'm dead curious to see how this movie will turn out. But dude, imagine if they were doing a Devil May Cry CG movie instead, that would have been great!

I will defriend you and then say bad things about you behind my LJ friends lock where you can't read it! Ho-hum.

Fandoms over sensitized idiosyncrasies forces everyone into a lose-lose situation, unless of course you don't actually give a rats ass what everyone else thinks. That way you're then labeled as an arrogant self-centered wench who thinks she's too good for everyone else when really she's just as much of a loser as the rest of the flock. In which case, you still lose.

I don't know how people can write drabbles in 30 minutes or less, I swear to god. -_- This one took me 35 minutes, I went five minutes over the allotted time. Go me. It sucks too because of it. I spent the entire time panicking over my time limit. I swore I would post this as is though and not edit (if I'd finished it a bit faster I would have had time to edit). And not delete it. So. This is unedited, and written almost in a blind rush of panic. It's also really rather bad. I realize the summer solstice would barely have been celebrated that way, but bite me. :/ This was much longer in my head, but I couldn't write the original idea down with the time limit.

Somebody on the Naruto Yaoi list brought up the suggestion for a Naruto FQF. o_O caillen says I'm a masochist, but if it pulls through, then I'm all for it!

Naruto 25 is out, but as seems to be the problem everytime ANBU releases a Naruto episode, the BT sites have crashed from the overload. You'll have better luck getting it in a few hours or in the IRC channel.

Also, news courtesy of Jeanne Johnson, no Saiyuki Gaiden in the next ZS issue either, and no news explaining the delay nor any announcements for when to expect it. Minekura picks the best chapters to take a long break from writing Gaiden, say I. I bet she does this on purpose.

I realize my blog posts have been exceptionally boring as of late. I'm sorry, I really don't know how to make it up to you, because I excel at the exceptionally boring and short, random, pointless posts.

Well I have no excuses really, except that I was re-reading Once Upon a Midnight Clear and this ficlet said Go write me. And I was the idiot who did exactly that.

It's short and hastily written and is the kind of writing that will have me twitching at it in horror in a few days time. Yet the wonders of writing snippets and ficlets is that it gives you the option of not really giving a damn

( Untangled, a kind of sequel to Once Upon a Midnight Clear, still no sap )

If anyone had told me back when I got into Naruto a year ago that it would be my next active fandom (after two years of not having one) I would have literally scoffed at you. You would then have the rather smug satisfaction of rubbing it in my face however. I was expecting Shaman King. I was even expecting Saiyuki. Naruto? Hardly. I loved the manga, but loving the manga and entering fandom are two different things entirely.

So anyway, I posted a fic challenge to the Naruto Yaoi list, if only because I've been dying to post this challenge since December. The challenge is simple enough and one that's been done countless of times elsewhere. It's most satisfying to do this with original fiction, where the boundaries are limitless, but just as fun with fanfic.

The challenge: Take any Naruto image (fanart, doujinshi, it can even be your own fanart) and write a fic inspired by said image.

The problem, this being the first challenge, I realize it would be in poor taste to throw it out to the list and not work on the challenge myself. Not a problem in itself, since the idea for the challenge was spurred on by the fact that Tetuno Ichihara's fanart kept on making me go "I want to fic that!", because her art is just wonderful.

I have 30 minutes to post this and then get ready before we leave for the relatives. I wanted to post this before leaving, just so I wouldn't have it hanging over my head the whole night since I do have another fic I want finished before the new year. This can be considered my *gasp!* Christmas fic of the year. I have never written a christmas fic, save for the yrpg parody a few years back.

Written in less than a day, and for anyone who knows how extremely slow I write, this is an achievement. Of course this fic was also my shameless excuse to write SasuNaru sap. Completely unbetad, I don't even have the time to give a quick read through because my parents will kill me if I'm not ready on time.

So well, enjoy? ^^

[Edit: Dec. 26] Finally had the time to read through the fic and change a few minor details and grammar mistakes. Also, I realize that Sasuke actually calls Naruto usurakontachi (it's almost like a pet name, aren't they sweet?), but it didn't really fit, so I used dobe instead.
