To all the JK fans on the flist, Juuni Kokki 43 is out!

Juuni Kokki 45 airs tomorrow in Japan. It's also the last episode of the series. ;_; NHK made the announcement on their site.

The series was originally slated to end at 68 episodes, however the production team has decided to stop at the latest chapter since they don't have enough material from the still ongoing novels to continue animating the series and give it the same quality present in the previous chapters.

In the original novels, only one chapter actually involves Youko, and ironically enough, that particular chapter was never adapted into animation. Adapting the novels into anime and putting it in Youko's point of view is probably one of the most difficult challenges a production team has had to make for an anime series, and they've done a wonderful job of it.

The series hasn't so much ended, as it has been put on a temporary halt until more novels come out and they feel they have enough material to continue with the series accordingly. This doesn't seem to be anytime soon though, since Ono Fuyumi hasn't come out with a new volume of the novels for almost two years, although hopefully this means that a new installment is due out sometime soon. ^^v

With Juuni Kokki's last episode tomorrow and Last Exile's ending only a few more episodes away... I need a new series to obsess myself over as much as I did these two series'. Unfortunately, eventhough Tantei Gakuen Q and Narutaru amuses me greatly, it simply isn't the same. *whimper*

20 LJ userpics for a fee. Guess who will be suckered into this once it goes live? :P I don't see why at the moment, seeing that I've only 8 icons currently uploaded. Though I've been meaning to make a few more of Jirou. And Amane. And more of Ryoma. And Enki. And yea... 20 userpics it is!

I've also watched Juuni Kokki 42. The highlight of the episode is the Enki and Kouya conversation, because it means we get an earful of both Yamaguchi Kappei and Ishida Akira. I'm not much of a fan of Yamaguchi Kappei, but I do love how he voices Enki, and that's good enough for me. XD

Enki's story is nothing new, as we already know what happened to him in the episode 11 flashback. Kouya however tells Enki how Atsuyu found Kouya in the forest and took him in. Such devote loyalty is best bred in children after all. Speaking of Atsuyu, his voice really grates on my nerves. It doesn't seem to fit his character at all. I wanted to gag him everytime he spoke.

The ending left me going >_<. All's the worst since they won't be airing Juuni Kokki this upcoming Saturday. Next episode airs on the 16th. ;_;

The new Juuni Kokki arc, "Sea God of the East, Azure Sea of the West" (which starts the second season of the series), completely and totally owns me. It's not enough that this series owns my soul. No, they have to go and own me even more with this recent arc.

It's the En centered arc I've been wanting to see all this time. With lots and lots of Enki and lots and lots of Shouryu and with lots and lots of excessive squeeing and melting and fangirling on my part. If you're wondering if there's even a character I can love and adore and worship even more than Jirou, then it's Enki. I just don't fangirl as much. XD Though I reckon I did my fair share of it when Enki first showed up in the first season.

Following along the same lines of the Taiki arc, it seems the entirety of the arc will be a flashback that takes place twenty years after Shouryu's coronation. Anything else and I'll be tempted to spoil you all silly.

Juuni Kokki owns me. I have known this for a very long time, and most of you probably do too. Since it's the one series I can't ever stop talking about and won't ever stop pimping no matter how many new obsessions I get into. *coughTeniPuricough*

Juuni Kokki 39 is out obviously and by gods, if you haven't watched Juuni Kokki yet and it isn't on your list of series' to watch then there is something very very wrong with you. =/ The screencaps are more or less spoiler free, but if you're really prickly about spoilers, some might be slightly telling.

Youko owns me just as much as the series does. XD Probably obvious by the amount of caps I took of her. I tried not to overdo it.

Must have been on crack last night. Now I know why I couldn't find the first Juuni Kokki DVD in amazon. -_- Who the hell goes around searching for "12 Countries" anyway? *twitch* I love how Media Blasters used art from the novels to use on the DVD covers. <3
